My Top 25 Favorite Albums of the Decade – 21

In Motion by Copeland

All of Copeland’s albums are wonderful in their own way, but the reason I particularly like In Motion is because it’s a good rock album.  In many ways it’s similar to their first release Beneath Medicine Tree, but with more energy.  It’s packed full of fast paced melodies and driving guitars.  Even some of the softer songs on the album such as the piano heavy “Sleep” very much have an upbeat feel to them.  Of course the one thing about Copeland that will always stand out the most is Aaron Marsh’s unique falceto vocals which adds a nice contrast to In Motion’s energetic sound.
